First and foremost disappointed for the players, they put it all on the floor through a very difficult year and provided a sliver of joy in a terrible year.
I also was struck by how sad it was to see them slapping the floor on "D" and feeling like the lack of change to our approach meant that they were doomed to fail no matter how gritty or locked in they attempted to be.
I hope this doesn't serve as a blueprint to beat our drop defense approach for next year too. OSU had a field day using Walker and Washington in similar action, Loyola took it to another level by not using standard pnr action but letting Krutwig initiate from the pinch post.
Here's to hoping its only a blueprint if you have a big as skilled as Krutwig!
