This is great analysis of what I’ve heard you comment on for years, Robert. Great to see some details beyond the traditional “of course his ranking slid when he chose Illinois” commentary the fan base usually defaults to. It is probably too long ago now to have good data but I do wonder how the Zook-era star recruits would have been impacted-Regus Benn, Vontae, Martez, especially since they were such nationally lauded talents. And all by the way immediately demonstrated their talent on the field at Illinois and in the NFL.
