Yes and no. That's something I've written several times - his drop was aligned with his performance at the Elite 11 QB camp. So that was the public reasoning for his drop.
But none of the services changed him from ATH to QB in their profile. They knew he was going to try QB, and that's why he picked Illinois, but he continued to be rated alongside all of the other ATH recruits (which is supposed to be a positionless evaluation).
The question (to me): how does Steve Wiltfong from 247 call him one of the "10 most devastating athletes in his class" and then drop him from 3rd to 18th on the ATH list?
