I'd envisioned you doing a deep dive into best Big Ten single game performances and best performances against Illinois over the last ~20 years. I think the conclusion would have been that Pickett had the single best offensive performance of the season and quite possibly in recent memory.
The dude hardly even got fouled. Most of the shots were guarded to some degree. Brandon Paul against Ohio State in 2012 is the only comp that comes to mind.
Even the TJD performance against us earlier in the season doesn't measure up.
Sometimes terrible things happen, but it sucks that it happened to someone you care about. The beauty of people like you, Robert, is that you also find the magic in the positive side of things that gives us the sanity we need to weather the storm.
