There aren't many situations where we think it's acceptable to scream into someone's face. Sports is obviously one of the few, I'm not sure it will be for that much longer.

I also doubt the effectiveness. The least likely reaction to someone screaming in your face is to listen to what they are saying. Mostly we would scream back, pop them one, or walk away. Players can't do any of that, so I expect they mostly just tune it out and go to their happy place for a brief time, then maybe refocus when they are addressed normally.
