How about 1989? Coach Mackovic appeared on the sideline wearing a pink tie. Marching Illini was present for the away game, and after marching pre-game they donned pink ball caps. Great time poking fun at Iowa's pink visitor's locker room. Oh, and Howard Griffith ran all over the Hawkeyes leading the Illini to a 31-7 win in Iowa City.
