Real Time Back & Forth

Here's the background. As I was heading out of Breslin, I saw a tweet from Tyler. He had just finished watching the game on tape delay and was reacting in real-time to what he had just seen. How he felt about the game and how I felt about the game were in completely different area codes.

So I asked for his help. I trust his basketball opinions more than I trust my basketball opinions, so I responded like this:

And I really do want him to help me see it. I know (I've said so many times right here) that I need to kill every "this is the learning year and then next year is THE YEAR" thought in my head. But I can't help but see this season that way (you know this already but... hear me out). It's mid January now, we've lost two of three, and my brain keeps screaming "it's next year, not this year." Yes, even I hate it.
