Seven Things
I've had no time to write since Sunday. Everything on the site since I published that Back & Forth immediately following the Wisconsin win has been a link to a podcast. So I've talked for a long time about a lot of things, but I haven't written anything down.
And that's mostly due to travel. Since I hit the publish button on the Back & Forth and tossed my laptop in my bag in Minneapolis, my schedule has been:
- Drive Carmen and Tyler back to Chicago from Minneapolis and then drive to Champaign. Got home at 2:50 in the morning.
- Set my alarm for 7:25 because the rental car had to be back by 8:00 Monday morning. I tried to go back to sleep once I got home from the rental car place but I couldn't make it happen.
- Completed a Full Day Of Rest on Monday which included a nap and quite literally 3+ hours playing Tetris on my phone. I tried to write something, but I was at mental exhaustion level 9.93 out of 10 after four days in Minneapolis.
- Got up to attend ten minutes of football practice on Tuesday morning at 8:30. Then off to get some coffee + get my hairs cut. Got back to the house, wrote about practice on Slack, did laundry, packed, pick up another rental car (I should have just kept the first one), and then drove 7.5 hours from Champaign to Omaha. I got in at 2:01 this morning.
- I slept past the hotel breakfast this morning (woke up at 9:13 and breakfast was finished at 9:00) so I went out to get some coffee, came back and published the podcast that I had recorded while driving, and then headed to the shootarounds for Morehead State and Illinois (shootarounds >>> press conferences).
And now, finally, back at my hotel, I'm sitting down to write Illini words again. I have so much on my mind. Let's break it up into seven different subheads:
