SOC - Michigan State 2024

This is a rare feeling when writing an SOC. My main emotion all day:

I should bite my tongue.

And that's a legitimate "bite my tongue", not some setup for a big "OK fine I'll say it blah blah blah" later on. I've... thought better of what I should say tonight.

The thing I'm struggling with is simple: the gleeful (yes, gleeful) pursuit of "oh man if we lose this one it's three in a row and then the Rutgers loss will be four in a row and..." mindset. I've observed so many people running in that direction. Almost wanting it to happen because there's comfort in Lucy pulling the football away. Fan self-sabotage that would require a licensed therapist to reverse.

So I've been trying not to yell at people about it. And I won't. Instead I'll just present a different perspective. I'll talk about what a healthy fan relationship looks like. And it's very simple:
