Check The Tape - Virginia 2022

Sep 22, 2022

You were looking for the SOC, weren't you? Well I haven't started it yet. I've been CTT-ing. If there's one thing my father taught me as a child, it's that you always CTT before you SOC.

I guess this means I have at least another hour in this desk chair. I've been in this chair since 7:40 am. It is currently 10:27 pm. I made breakfast around 8:30, lunch around 2:00, and skipped dinner. Every other non-bathroom moment has been spent in this chair responding to emails, entering numbers into spreadsheets, and CTT-ing. If I finish the SOC around midnight I'll have maybe 16 full hours sitting in this chair today.

Anyway, that's not important. The CTT is important.

A quick analytics update for those of you wanting me to make "one of the 187" shirts. Last CTT I noted that the YouTube analytics told me that 187 people had watched the entire "CTT - Wyoming" video. Well I'm here to tell you that only 156 people watched the entire "CTT - Indiana" video. So if that trend continues throughout the season, I'm guessing only 17 people will watch the entire "CTT - Northwestern" video and then I can just give everyone a One Of The Seventeen shirt.

I don't know why I keep telling you this part either but here goes...

Total views for Wyoming CTT: 712
Total views for Indiana CTT: 510
Approximate $$ I could make if I monetized both videos: $5.06

Let's just get to the good stuff.

Here is the CTT for Virginia. The little YouTube thingy says "HD version processing" but I'm not smart enough to know if I should wait until it processes or if I should just go ahead and publish even though it's only SD right now. Maybe it's one of those things that only someone casting this to their 85" flatscreen would be able to tell that it's not in HD yet.

Also, if the math holds, only 300-some people will watch this, so it doesn't really matter. I need to SOC anyway, so here it is.

Cast to 55 inch just fine. I finished, but only because I skipped ahead. Suggest 15-20 minutes max, show a play no more than 3 times. The bad spots are insane.

Randolph pancakes the T while being double teamed!

Really like the new format. Robert, you do know how to shoot a dead horse. Agree with Neale Stoner, showing a play more than 2-3 times is a bit much.

Thanks Robert. These are fun. A few thoughts - first I think it would be a little bit better to up the resolution to 1080p/HD if you can. Was a little tough, for example, seeing the football on the ground during Griffin's FG, especially on a large TV (watched it on YouTube on my Apple TV). Second, I agree that you could shorten them a bit - only need to run through the play once or twice in slo-mo. Third, I didn't even know you were doing these - keep it up and publicize your YouTube channel. You'll get more hits.

The bad spotting of the ball?,....You have to wonder if it has to do with 'inclusion' and 'equity'. I see an awful lot of ponytails coming out from under the zebra caps.
