Subscription FAQs

For starters, most every question here is answered by “click on the ticket”. When you open a post, in the lower right-hand side of the page, you’ll see a floating ticket saying “X Stories Remaining”. Clicking on that ticket allows you to do two things: 1) Purchase a subscription; 2) Log-in to your subscription. So the best way to handle this FAQ is to talk about the Ticket.

I’ve never subscribed but I want to.
Click on the ticket. You can then click on the subscription type you want (one year or one month) and that will take you to the TinyPass site. Once you have paid and your password is selected, TinyPass directs you to sign in. You do that once and you’re good for the full length of the subscription. Do this on all of your devices (click on the ticket, sign in) and you’re all set there as well.

I’ve subscribed but I still see the ticket.
Click on the ticket. At the bottom, log in where it says “already registered?”. Enter your email and password for TinyPass and you’re all set on that device for the length of your subscription. You can repeat this process on all devices. Please note that the TinyPass login (for your subscription) and the IlliniBoard login (to post comments) are two different logins. Entering your TinyPass login on the site, or entering your IlliniBoard login for the TinyPass ticket, will not work.

My subscription hasn’t run out but I started seeing the ticket again.
Click on the ticket. Sometimes, a browser update or a cookie/cache clear-out will change your settings and the TinyPass login info needs to be re-entered. Click the ticket, log in where it says “already registered”, enter your email and password for TinyPass, and you should be all set again. Do this just one time on all devices. Please note that the TinyPass login (for your subscription) and the IlliniBoard login (to post comments) are two different logins. Entering your TinyPass login on the site, or entering your IlliniBoard login for the TinyPass ticket, will not work.

I don’t know my TinyPass login information.
When you subscribed you should have received an email from TinyPass with your login info. Search back through your email (I just do a search for “TinyPass”) and find that email containing your login information. You can also go to the TinyPass website here, enter your email, and use their “I forgot my password” retrieval system.

I think my subscription ran out because I’ve started seeing the blue ticket again.
Click on the ticket. Use the “already registered?” link to log in to your TinyPass account. It will tell you if your subscription has run out and, if it has, you can purchase another year from that page.
