The 90 Illini #34: Mac Resetich

When we last checked in on The Greatest American Hero, he was staring at me blankly because he had never heard of The Greatest American Hero. Probably because he was born in 2004 and the show ran on ABC from 1981 to 1983.

I thought about that a lot after publishing the post with the Resetich interview: me asking him that question ("have you ever heard of the show?") would have been like someone coming up to me during my sophomore year at Illinois (1992) and asking if I was familiar with a show that ran on television in 1949.

That can't be right. Did I do that right? I turned 20 in December of 1992. Mac Resetich will turn 20 in December of 2024. I asked him about a show the premiered 23 years before he was born. And 23 years before I was born (1972) was... 1949. Holy crap it's right.

So I'm basically going up to Mac Resetich in that interview and saying "say, young man, are you familiar with Missus Goes A Shopping?"
